Collaborate more efficiently with our new widgets sidebar!

This release brings an exciting new feature designed to enhance the collaborative experience in Huly -- the widgets sidebar. This sidebar, available on the right side of the workspace, allows for easy access to the planner, virtual office, chat threads and more! We've also indroduced several improvements to the user experience in chat, documents and the personal planner. Additionally, we're rolling out a new tool for importing documents from Notion — an important step towards a unified import format for Huly. As more teams are making the switch to Huly, we're excited to support our growing community with these new updates, making our platform even better for productivity and collaboration!

🚀 New Features

New widgets sidebar allows for easy access to frequently used features

In this release, you'll find a new sidebar panel that will allow you to easily access the most frequently used features in Huly! This sidebar, which can be opened on the right side of the page, currently includes widgets for your planner, virtual office, chat and video calls. The calendar and virtual office will always remain fixed in the sidebar, so you can quickly check your personal schedule and team offices without navigating away from your work. Chat threads will open in the sideabar when a conversation active, so you no longer need to navigate back to the chat module while working collaboratively. Active video calls also appear in the sidebar, making it easy to view your workspace during meetings. 🌟 Enhancements

Start a chat with a user from their contact page: You can now easily open a chat with any workspace member (employee) by opening the dropdown menu on their contact and selecting 'Start conversation'. This opens a new direct chat in the new right sidebar, allowing you open a chat thread without navigating back to the chat module. Once the thread has been opened, it will remain in the right sidebar until it's closed, along with any other open conversations. #6687
Highlighted reactions in chat: This small enhancement provides a more intuitive chat experience by highlighting your message reactions in chat, helping you quickly distinguish your own reactions from others'. #6418
Improvements to the planner UI: This PR introduces a few improvements to the planner interface by placing scheduled action items at the top of the list and removing the 'Without project' header from action items that are not attached to any project in the workspace. These updates remove unhelpful clutter from the planner, helping you focus on the most important tasks at hand. #6651

🐞 Bug Fixes

Updating an issue title also updates the corresponding action item: When an issue is created in Huly with the status of 'Todo', an action item is automatically generated in the assignee's planner. With this fix, if the issue title is changed after the corresponding action item has already been generated, the title of the action item will automatically update to reflect the new issue title. By ensuring action item titles always match their corresponding issue, you'll be able to see at a glance which action items and issues go together. #6563
Slash command disabled within code blocks: This small fix prevents slash commands from being triggered within code blocks. #6548
Small fixes improve the chat UI: Another small PR improves the chat UI by fixing a few minor issues, including a bug preventing a popup with pinned messages and text overflow for thread replies. #6419
Fix image size in message attachments: Messages with image attachments previously displayed only a small preview, cutting off the full image and making it difficult to understand the content at a glance. This PR fixes this issue, ensuring a proper preview size for image attachments. #6698
Unarchive option now available for teamspaces and file drives: This fix addresses an issue causing the unarchive option to be missing from the dropdown menu for teamspaces and file drives. With this fix, you'll be able to select 'Unarchive' from the dropdown menu to any teamspaces and file drives to restore it to active use in your workspace. #6522

Support for importing documents from Notion

Many teams are making the choice to migrate from Notion to Huly, and we've noticed increasing demand in our community for a simple way to import Notion documents. We're excited to announce that we've developed a tool to streamline this process, allowing Notion documents to be imported into Huly teamspaces. This tool is not yet available through the user interface, but you can check out our Notion import guide for instructions on how to import from the command line. Stay tuned for updates coming soon on ClickUp imports and a unified Huly import format!
